It is her extraordinary voice and striking presence that has captivated audiences, making her rich vocals synonymous with delivering the National Anthem as well as God Bless America at countless major sporting events for the NBA, NFL, MLS, NHL, and MLB! On October 23, 2018, alongside American singer, songwriter and guitarist James Taylor, Michelle became a part of baseball history when she performed God Bless America for Game 1 of the MLB World Series in Boston, MA.
In 2021 Michelle was the winner of the NCAA College Baseball World Series National Anthem singer competition. But it truly all began in January 2011 when Michelle auditioned for “Sing Your Way to Fenway,” hosted by the Boston Red Sox team. She defeated 121 singers across the New England States and became the very first winner of the competition! Since then, she has consistently performed the National Anthem at prestigious & national sporting events, more times than any indie and secular musical artist! She has performed at the 2023 NFL AFC Kansas City Chiefs game, the 2022 NBA Finals (Game 3), Fenway Park for over ten years including the 2021 MLB Wild Card, ALDS, and ALCS games, Gillette Stadium for the New England Patriots (2014 AFC Game, 2019, 2020, 2021), TD Gardens for the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins since 2014, the 2020 Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Rays, NCAA TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl (2021), NCAA Dukes Mayo Bowl (2021), Annual Travis Manion Foundation Gala (2021), Massachusetts Democratic National Convention (2019), NBA Utah Jazz, and more. In addition, she has performed the National Anthem with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the most anticipated and legendary annual July 4th New England celebration, The Boston Pops (2015).
On September 29th, 2014 Michelle performed at the Boston Red Sox pre ceremony for New York Yankee’s legendary Shortstop, Derek Jeter. She performed Aretha Franklin’s “Respect “and the National Anthem. On July 28th, 2015 Michelle performed the National Anthem for the jersey retirement ceremony for Boston Red Sox baseball legend, Pedro Martinez. In October 2016 Michelle was requested again for another highly anticipated Fenway Park pre-game event. This request personally came from David “Big Papi” Ortiz for his retirement pre-game ceremony! All pre-game ceremonies were televised on New England’s most watched sports station NESN to over 1 million viewers.
Michelle’s rendition of the National Anthem and God Bless America is highly respected and is continually requested by sports teams and many venues. During the 2020 global pandemic, Michelle graced the Boston Red Sox team and fans on Opening Day with the National Anthem and God Bless America! Additionally, Michelle has been requested to sing other national anthems including La Borinquena (Puerto Rican) and O’ Canada (Canadian). She is also a winner of the 2021 NCAA College Baseball World Series National Anthem Contest.
